About the Founder

 

Robert Platshorn, Founder The Silver Tour, teaching seniors the benefits of medical marijuana, was featured in the hit Showtime movie, Square Grouper. The  documentary film told Robert's story of as a member of the Black Tuna Gang to his release from Federal prison. He was given the longest prison sentence ever given at that time, 64 years. Platshorn served 29 years and then created the Silver Tour. 

 

Mr Platshorn's successful MEET THE EXPERTS events were spotlighted on Jon Stewart's Daily Show, CNN Money and the front page of The Wall Street Journal.

 

His “edu-mercial” Should Grandma Smoke Pot?  has been seen on TV stations in a dozen cities. Dr. Lester Grinspoon of Harvard University called SGSP? the best program on the subject of cannabis.

 

He received and was High Times Freedom Fighter of the Year Award for his work educating legislators, businessmen and the senior population on the benefits of medical marijuana.

Irv Rosenfeld, After numerous operations and all types of medicines which had marginal results, Irv discovered in 1971 the medical benefits of cannabis and was lucky enough to become one of the elite Federal Medical Cannabis Patient’s in the fall of 1982. To this day, he still receives 300 "joints" every month.  

 His two major hobbies are playing softball on Sunday mornings, sailing at Shake-A-Leg Miami, or teaching disabled and/or disadvantaged kids and adults how to sail.  Irv's major passion in life is trying to get medical cannabis legal for all patients.

Michael Minardi , is the Senior Partner at Minardi Law. For over 14 years, He has dedicated his practice to fighting for clients charged with cannabis crimes. His passion has driven him to learning and understanding medical cannabis laws in the State of Florida and throughout the country.

Michael’s practice represents clients in corporate consulting and services for business and individuals looking to enter the cannabis industry, forfeiture matters, all criminal matters, with a focus in cases where an individual purchases, uses, or cultivates cannabis for medical purposes. He has successfully won many medical cannabis cases, including several landmark
